Each week, students will have a 40-minute private lesson. Students participate in the group "get-togethers" and the annual recital. My goal for lessons is to learn and have fun!
Each week, students will have a 20-minute private lesson and a 20- to 30-minute small-group lesson. The small group environment uplifts the audiation learning method: singing and rhythmic movements to hear and comprehend music mentally. We play games and use collaborations to enhance creativity that leads to improvising and composing.
I offer two learning options for piano lessons in Forest Grove, Oregon: private lessons and private + group lessons. The learning objectives are the same for both but each address different learning styles.
Students will learn foundational skills in musicianship in piano: Rhythms, Tonality, Music Theory, Audiation Skills, Sight Reading, Ensemble Skills, and Improvising. Having fun is the most important part of our lesson together.
I encourage students to get together to share and perform with the other students. Each year, we have a performance recital in June to celebrate together, as well as a group ” get-together” twice during the year. My hope is to provide my students with opportunities to be in front of others to perform, so that they get to share with others what they enjoy musically.
